Publication of Volume 1, Number 2 (2026): Malaria Surveillance, Digital Health Governance, and Artificial Intelligence Applications in Public Health

2026-07-01

The Editorial Board of the Hensard Journal of Health Governance and Digital Transformation is pleased to announce the release of Volume 1, Number 2 (2026).

This special issue brings together interdisciplinary research addressing major public health challenges through the integration of geospatial technologies, climate analytics, artificial intelligence, health informatics, and evidence-based policy approaches.

The issue includes eight peer-reviewed original research articles covering:

• Climate-driven malaria seasonality modelling using AgERA5 climate observations.
• Hidden severe malaria burden and treatment gap identification.
• Accessibility-adjusted malaria surveillance and health service delivery assessment.
• Zero-dose childhood vulnerability and health inequity analysis.
• Child mortality denominator uncertainty and investment prioritization.
• Geospatial targeting of malaria chemoprevention interventions.
• Cost-effective delivery strategies for seasonal malaria chemoprevention.
• Strategic targeting of intermittent preventive treatment for schoolchildren using integrated decision-support systems.

The studies demonstrate the application of GIS, remote sensing, machine learning, accessibility modelling, and health systems analytics to support malaria control and digital health transformation in Nigeria and other low- and middle-income countries.

The Editorial Board acknowledges the contributions of all authors, reviewers, and editors whose efforts made this issue possible.

Volume 1, Number 2 is now available online through the Hensard Journal platform.
